Looking for wedding venues in Franschhoek can lead you from village restaurants to estates well outside the centre. Start with the exact property, the space you would book and the route your guests will travel. The area name alone does not tell you how the wedding will work.

Venue options to explore
La Paris: select a named space
La Paris lists several venues rather than one interchangeable wedding room. Its venue page gives seating capacities of 400 for the Lyceum, 120 for the Winery and 200 for the Rose Garden. The Arbour is described for ceremonies, pre-drinks and intimate garden celebrations.
Ask for your reception layout with a dance floor, bar and suppliers included. A maximum seating figure does not confirm that all of those elements fit simultaneously. If you choose an outdoor area, ask which indoor space is reserved for the weather alternative and whether that reservation is included.
The wedding page also offers an intimate package for up to 50, with a linked 2027/2028 brochure. Keep that package year attached to the enquiry. It is not evidence of a price for an earlier wedding date.

La Ferme: a riverside ceremony and a steel-and-glass hall
La Ferme places its event venue beside the Wemmershoek River, with a lawn for ceremonies or gathering outdoors. Its official description puts the farm outside Franschhoek rather than in the village, and describes a modern steel-and-glass hall with a bar.
There is an important detail to resolve: the overview says 80 to 100 guests, while the package and hall-only sections specify a maximum of 90. Ask for a current layout for your number rather than relying on the larger figure. The package prices still carry a validity date ending 31 December 2025, so we have not repeated them as current rates.
The site describes both a coordinated wedding package and a self-catering option using your own caterer and planner. Ask what the current shell hire includes, how kitchen charges work and whether the accommodation listed with that option is compulsory for your booking.

Plan the guest journey as well as the reception
- Send guests the exact property pin, not just ‘Franschhoek’. Check the final approach, parking and where a shuttle can collect after the reception.
- Ask whether getting-ready rooms and overnight rooms are part of hire, separately charged or subject to a minimum stay.
- Compare the service included in each option. A coordinated package and an empty hall need different allowances for suppliers and your own time.
- Check the ceremony-to-reception route and whether guests can remain sheltered if the outdoor plan changes.

Describe the same adult and child count, meal, hours, dance floor and date window to both properties. Ask each to identify the actual ceremony, reception and backup spaces. Put excluded services beside the price, then decide which format suits the wedding you want to organise.
