Wedding venues in Wellington: compare the estate and the guest stay
Two Wellington farm settings and the questions that make the reception and overnight plan clear.

A Wellington wedding can be an evening celebration or the centre of a longer farm stay. Those plans need different enquiries. Before comparing venues, decide how many people will attend the reception, how many need rooms and whether you want extra gatherings around the wedding.
Kleinevalleij and Langkloof Roses are two official-source options in the Wellington area. We checked their pages on 14 October 2026. Neither should be treated as available until the venue confirms your date and arrangements.

Venue options to explore
Kleinevalleij: keep the hire period and VAT with the number
Kleinevalleij describes vineyard and garden wedding settings with the Hawequa Mountains behind the estate. Its current packages page publishes a hire period from September 2026 to April 2027, with different rates for weekends and public holidays, Fridays and weekdays.
The listed weekend and public-holiday hire is R50,000 excluding VAT for that period. This is venue hire, not a complete wedding budget. Request a quote showing VAT, catering, bar service, furniture, staff and any other required services. A different day can only be compared fairly once the same services are included.
The overview does not replace a numeric seated layout for your wedding. Name the ceremony, reception and backup areas in the enquiry, and ask how they work with your guest count and dancing space.
Read Kleinevalleij’s official rates and packages and explore the estate.
Langkloof Roses: a rose-farm wedding with rooms on site
Langkloof Roses describes a farm wedding setting just outside Wellington with rose gardens. Its site lists 22 double B&B rooms and notes that some units are self-catering. That room count is not a reception capacity or a guarantee that all rooms will be available for your date.
The wedding package is supplied through an enquiry form rather than a public numeric capacity table. Ask for the current package, the seated reception limit, the ceremony limit and the wet-weather layout. Keep the room booking terms alongside the wedding terms.
If an overnight stay matters, ask whether rooms must be booked together, the minimum number of nights, breakfast arrangements and which guests pay. ‘Accommodation available’ and ‘exclusive accommodation included’ are different promises.
Explore Langkloof Roses’s official wedding and accommodation information and request its current wedding package.

Check the last part of the journey
Use the exact venue pin when booking transport. Ask about the final road, parking, lighting and a suitable pickup point. For guests staying elsewhere, arrange a return plan before assuming they can leave with the overnight group.
Compare the wedding quote and room quote separately, then combine the costs you will actually pay. This lets you see whether a weekend format fits your budget without confusing accommodation capacity with reception capacity.
