Western Cape wedding planning
All inclusive wedding packages in the Western Cape and what they cover
Two package examples and the inclusions, exclusions and guest coverage worth checking.

All inclusive wedding packages in the Western Cape bring several parts of your wedding into one offer. The scope can vary from ceremony and reception essentials to a fuller arrangement with accommodation, coordination and photography. Start with what the package includes for your guest count and date, then look at what you would still need to arrange.
Two useful examples are Saldanha Bay Hotel on the West Coast and Manley Wine Estate in Tulbagh. Both show why guest coverage and package levels matter.

Two Western Cape wedding package examples
These details come from official venue pages checked on 5 October 2026. Use them as a starting point and request a dated proposal before relying on an advertised inclusion.
Saldanha Bay Hotel on the West Coast
Saldanha Bay Hotel's Bronze wedding package lists a lawn ceremony, a reception room with furniture and tableware, basic décor, a three course menu and accommodation on a sharing basis. Silver and Gold add different food and drink extras.
The published packages have a minimum of 30 guests and peak date exclusions in December and April. Confirm which dates qualify, how many nights the accommodation covers and how rooms are allocated.
When choosing between levels, look at the specific extras you would use. Ask for the quantities and choices attached to food and drinks so you can judge what each upgrade adds to your celebration.

Manley Wine Estate in Tulbagh
Manley Wine Estate's 2026/27 package, offered with Tulbagh Wedding Valley, is based on 40 wedding guests. It includes two nights' accommodation for 22 guests, catering, coordination and eight hours of photography. A marriage officer and videographer are listed among the optional extras.
The wedding guest count and overnight guest count serve different purposes here. If all 40 guests need accommodation, ask about arrangements for the remaining 18 and whether those rooms would be booked separately.
Also check how a larger wedding would change the package. Catering, rooms and supplier coverage may each have their own limits, so ask the venue to spell out any changes in your proposal.

Read the inclusions as separate parts
An all inclusive wedding venue can offer several services together while leaving choices for you to make. Keep these four parts clear when reading the package.
- Ceremony. Check whether the ceremony setup is included and what it contains. Seating, sound and a marriage officer should each be named if they form part of the offer.
- Reception and food. Look for the menu, number of courses, furniture, tableware and service staff. Ask which menu changes or dietary requirements carry an extra charge and whether a tasting is included.
- Drinks. Identify welcome drinks, wine, toast drinks and any bar allowance. Confirm quantities, service charges and what you or your guests would pay once the included drinks run out.
- Accommodation. Confirm the number of overnight guests, rooms and nights. Ask whether breakfast is included and how sharing arrangements affect the group.
Use the written description to check décor too. Ask what “basic décor” includes and which items in the venue's photographs would cost extra. This keeps your expectations close to what the package actually provides.
Check how much freedom you have with suppliers
A package can save you supplier research, particularly when catering, coordination or photography is already arranged. Before choosing it, find out who provides each service and whether you can review their work or discuss your preferences with them.
Ask whether you must use the included suppliers. If you already have a photographer or want a different caterer, check whether substitutions are possible and whether removing a service changes the price. Any outside supplier fee matters to that decision.
For photography, confirm what the stated hours cover and when coverage begins. For coordination, ask whether the service includes planning beforehand, running the wedding day or both. Those limits help you understand which decisions and arrangements remain yours.
Confirm exclusions before you commit
Ask the venue to identify compulsory extras separately from optional additions. Useful package checks include VAT, setup or collection charges, corkage and charges for extending a supplier's included hours.
Confirm the minimum paid guest count and what happens if your final numbers change. Check whether children and supplier meals count towards that minimum. If the offer depends on a particular date or season, make sure the same conditions appear in your dated proposal.
Keep any agreed substitutions and upgrades in writing, together with the payment dates and cancellation or date change terms. You should be able to see what is included, what costs extra and who is responsible for each part.
