Cape Town: Melkbosstrand and the Atlantic coast
Elopement packages in Cape Town: what is included for two?
Two real venue offers, with the small print that changes the cost of a wedding for two.

An elopement package in Cape Town might cover the ceremony alone, or it might include a room, dinner and wedding details for two. Do not compare the headline amounts until you know which kind of package you are looking at.
We checked these two official venue offers on 14 October 2026. They serve a much smaller celebration than a typical 20-to-50-guest wedding. Ask the venue and marriage officer to confirm the requirements for your particular ceremony.

Venue options to explore
Beach Villa in Melkbosstrand: a package for two
Beach Villa publishes an eloping package for two that includes one night in its honeymoon suite, breakfast, an arch and a beach or garden ceremony arrangement. It also lists a three-course dinner for two and wine. The venue arranges a marriage officer, with the couple dealing directly with that person.
Photography and extra nights are additional options. Ask for the current package price and whether the officer’s fee, ceremony setup and any beach permission are included or separately payable. Confirm the exact ceremony location and the alternative if the beach cannot be used.
A separate family option is described for up to eight guests, with a menu for ten. Ask the venue to confirm how the couple and guests are counted rather than treating ‘eight’ as the total wedding attendance.

The Twelve Apostles: a dated destination package with extra requirements
The Twelve Apostles Hotel’s directly linked 2026 destination wedding brochure gives a starting package price of R19,260 per couple including VAT, valid from 8 January to 19 December 2026. It is a Monday-to-Thursday package, subject to availability and blocked dates, rather than an unrestricted weekend offer.
The brochure requires a wedding-day meal at the hotel and accommodation in a Luxury Room or higher for at least two nights. Accommodation is excluded from the package rate. It says the package no longer applies above 25 guests. Ask whether the officer and any additional ceremony costs are included in your written quote.
The Fynbos Garden ceremony is weather-dependent. A cake sized for six does not define the package guest limit, and photography appears in upgrade packages rather than the base package. Ask for the smallest complete arrangement you want, including the room and meal, before comparing it with another venue.
Read the hotel’s official 2026 destination wedding brochure, linked from its wedding page. For a 2027 date, request a current offer rather than carrying these rates forward.
Price your exact small celebration
- Count the couple, invited guests and suppliers separately. Ask how each affects the package.
- Include accommodation and minimum nights, even when the ceremony price excludes them.
- Confirm the meal, drinks, cake, flowers and ceremony furniture you actually want.
- Choose the photograph coverage deliberately. Check hours, delivery and whether it is an upgrade.
- Ask who confirms the ceremony location, weather alternative and any permissions.
- Agree paperwork and legal arrangements directly with the marriage officer before committing to a date.
If the guest list grows, ask for a new quote
Adding a few family members can change the room, meal, ceremony furniture and package eligibility. Tell the venue before assuming it can add a simple per-person supplement. If the celebration becomes a seated wedding for 20 to 50, compare a small wedding package alongside the elopement offer.
